Dutch/French language instructor

ALTA Language Services, Inc. seeks Dutch/French language instructor to help us fill our growing demand for Dutch/French language instruction. Requirements/preferences and job description follow:

Strongly prefer a native speaker; will consider candidate with native fluency based on extensive living experience in Belgium.

If not an American citizen, the candidate must have a green card or other visa status that allows him/her to teach his native language to Americans.

Part-time employment with flexible scheduling (i.e. if the candidate is a student, we will work around class hours in making our assignments).

Classes are taught at our center in Atlanta Buckhead and/or live online from your home or our center.

Candidates should be comfortable with technology and have broadband Internet access.

Will consider candidates for days only or for evenings only.

Pay: $18.00/hr – Sessions are minimum 1hr and 15 min long.

Professional atmosphere: we enjoy long-standing relationships with our teaching staff.

DELTA/KLM Flight Attendant

Zoals je misschien gehoord hebt, is Delta Airlines op het ogenblik bezig met het aannemen van nieuwe Flight Attendants.
Er is niet alleen behoefte aan “gewone” Flight Attendants, maar speciaal in het L. O. D. –programma zijn er verschillende openingen.
L. O. D. staat voor Language Of Destination en is een van Delta’s prioriteiten. Dit houdt in dat op de meeste internationale vluchten naar landen waar een andere taal dan Engels wordt gesproken tenminste een Flight Attendant aanwezig is die die taal beheerst. Voor sommige talen is de vraag niet zo groot (Spaans, Italiaans en Duits bijvoorbeeld) maar andere talen worden als “critical” beschouwd. Een van die talen is Nederlands, waar het op lijkt dat we nooit genoeg sprekers hebben.
Mocht er nu iemand in de Hollandse Club zijn, die in de Verenigde Staten mag werken en een tweede en/of derde taal beheerst; bovendien van reizen houdt en de wereld wil zien en geen hoogte- en kamervrees heeft, dan willen wij die met alle liefde helpen om een voet in de deur te krijgen bij Delta Airlines. Dit geldt natuurlijk ook voor iedereen die iemand kent die dit wil.
Er zijn al een aantal leden van de Hollandse Club die deze stap hebben genomen en daar zeer beslist geen spijt van hebben.

Experienced Full-Time nanny

An experienced Full-Time nanny is needed for a 20-month-old diabetic toddler. You must be responsible, loving, calm, energetic, and a good communicator (must speak good English). Speaking Dutch would be plus, but is not a requirement (the father is Dutch and could use some help teaching the child Dutch as a second language).

Working hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F. Need occasional longer hours in the evening, and very occasional night and/or weekend time. You must be comfortable with providing care while parent works from home. I need someone long term and who at a minimum can make a 9-month commitment.

Experience with type 1 diabetes is a plus, however we will train the proper candidate for someone without this experience.

Nanny responsibilities include:
* Interacting, feeding, and taking care of toddler, including activities to improve motor skills, improve learning, and read books
* Feeding schedule includes preparing meals, counting carbs, and programming insulin for insulin pump
* Must be comfortable with some medical tasks including taking blood sugar measurements and occasionally giving injections
* Performing all activities for child, including laundry, bathing, and preparing bottles
* Cleaning up all child areas, including tidying up, and cleaning toys and child items
* Taking child to activities (all are within walking distance), including classes, play dates, playground, and out for walks
* Performing light household chores including cleaning up kitchen, handling dishwasher, laundry, and some meal prep (mostly done during the 2-3 hour nap time)

• $10 - $15 per hour

Provider Requirements:
• Has own transportation
• Non-smoker
